He answered, "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" Luke 10:27

Ask and Yea Shall Receive

If we don’t ask God for anything how can we get mad about not receiving things we desire? In this morning’s scripture it clearly says, if you haven’t asked in Jesus’s name you should do so and when you do so you will receive it and be full of joy. Isn’t that wonderful? All we have to do is ask in the Father’s name and He will give us the desires of our hearts. Stop for a second though, before we decide to go on this rampage of going to our father in prayer to receive we need to stop and examine ourselves. Are we following Jesus? Is He Lord of our lives? We shouldn’t go to Him praying just for what we desire. We need to ask Him to come into our hearts that we may have a closer walk with thee and if we don’t walk with Him we need to ask Him to reveal Himself in our lives that we may have the desire to serve Him. We as human beings at times take a scripture of this content and use it to complain about what we don’t have. Well I prayed about this or that for months and I have yet to receive it. You think God didn’t hear my prayer? The answer to that question is simple. It’s not about whether or not God heard you. It’s about whether or not you prayed in believing you received it. Do you even know Him? Are you trying to get to know Him? Or are you just praying to a God you truly have no faith in? We can’t expect God to stop what He’s doing and just answer a prayer when we have little faith. Granted at times He does answer prayers instantly or in a timely manner just to show us His power but He does want us to believe, so if you have little or no faith you need to fix that and start trusting in Him and His abilities. We can’t just say, Oh God isn’t listening or God just don’t want to answer my prayer, stay patient and wait on His perfect timing! Have a wonderful, blessed day everyone, stay encouraged and always remember that God loves YOU! ❤️

Will you wait on The Lord?

Today’s shared verse comes from the book of Psalms. When I read this scripture it made me think about how we as society don’t know how to wait or rather we don’t want to wait. We want what we want when we want it. I know that life is fast paced and we all stay so very busy but we can’t become so caught up in the world that we forget how to wait on The Lord. The quick fixes the world may give us can’t compare to the everlasting, meaningful fixes God will give us. We need to push pause at some point during the day and say, “Thank you Lord. I may not be where I want to be but I know you’re working it out. I’m not going to get ahead of you and your plan for my life. I will wait on you because what you have planned for my life is bigger and better than anything I can imagine. I will put all my hope in your word and my soul will wait on you.” If we all could have this attitude what a blessed life we ALL could have. I encourage you today to just wait on The Lord at all times, even when you see no change in your situation still wait. Time will not only heal you, it will subdue all your problems and make you stronger and wiser so don’t continue to delay give everything to The Lord to bear. He will make your life worth living! Be blessed, stay encouraged and remember God loves YOU!

Am I Saved?

There’s a lot of people in today’s society who don’t know if they are saved or not and when asked they have to think about it for a minute. Why is that? Why do people hesitate when asked about their salvation? Is it really something we should have to ponder about? The answer is plainly written in the bible. The perfect place to look for the answer to salvation is in Romans 10:9-10:

That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord”, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

See it clearly tells you what you have to do to be saved. Salvation is a gift that is free to all to receive. It isn’t a gift given only to the “do gooders”. It’s free to receive for every person. There is nothing you have done that can keep you from receiving salvation, so stop believing the lies of the enemy. God loves you in spite of your sins and He wants ALL of His children to have a life with Him in Heaven after this life. A life of endless happiness, joy like we have never known, a perfect painless, disease free eternity so even if you haven’t always made the best choices in your life you still have the right to salvation. Isn’t that wonderful? God loved us so much that He gave up His only begotten son so that we have the right to be with Him in Heaven after this life. What an amazing gift. We should ALL receive this gift because it was purposely and perfectly designed for us to have. If you haven’t received it what are you waiting for? Haven’t you experience enough in this life to want the very best life eternally? I know I have and I’m thankful for my salvation. People need to stop thinking that they are not worthy because of how you may be living or have lived. If God decided to give us salvation based only on our sins none of us would be good enough to receive it. The only way we are good enough is through Jesus so I encourage you today to ask God to help you turn from your sinful ways and confess that Jesus is Lord, believe it in your heart that He was raised from the dead so that you will receive the awesome gift of salvation intended for you through the blood of the lamb! Be blessed, stay encourage and know that God loves YOU!

He Will Make A Way Out Of No Way

And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beer-sheba. (Genesis 21:14)

Can you imagine the hurt in Hagar’s eyes as Abraham honored his wife’s wishes and made her, his servant who bared his first child, leave the only home they knew and wander off into the wilderness with only a bottle of water and bread? She had no idea where they were going and what would become of them. If we read further on into the chapter we see that the bottle of water and the small amount of bread doesn’t last long. When all the bread and water is gone Hagar knows it’s only a matter of time before her son will dead so she leaves him under a shrub and she moves forward so she won’t have to watch her son die. As she begins to weep her child weeps. Soon God hears the cries of the boy and an angel of God called out to her to tell her that God heard the cries of the boy and he was going to bless him and make him a great nation. Soon after that God opens her eyes and she sees a well of water and immediately she goes over and fill the bottle up full of water for her son. As the boy grew God stayed with him and watched him grow up to become an archer. (Read Genesis 21:15-20)

This story is powerful if we look at it closely. When we are down to our last God will make a way out of no way. We all have moments like Hagar. Wondering around in the world with nothing but if we put our faith in God He will never let us down. He will always provide for us in our time of need. He won’t let us go without for long when we faithful seek Him and His will. So, if you are experiencing a hardship or a bump in the road don’t sit around and cry and be mad at the world seek God. He is here for us at any hour or any minute so let’s trust Him to restore us back to life. I know He’s has done it so many times for me and He’ll do the same for you! Be blessed and stay encouraged! ❤ ❤
