If we don’t ask God for anything how can we get mad about not receiving things we desire? In this morning’s scripture it clearly says, if you haven’t asked in Jesus’s name you should do so and when you do so you will receive it and be full of joy. Isn’t that wonderful? All we have to do is ask in the Father’s name and He will give us the desires of our hearts. Stop for a second though, before we decide to go on this rampage of going to our father in prayer to receive we need to stop and examine ourselves. Are we following Jesus? Is He Lord of our lives? We shouldn’t go to Him praying just for what we desire. We need to ask Him to come into our hearts that we may have a closer walk with thee and if we don’t walk with Him we need to ask Him to reveal Himself in our lives that we may have the desire to serve Him. We as human beings at times take a scripture of this content and use it to complain about what we don’t have. Well I prayed about this or that for months and I have yet to receive it. You think God didn’t hear my prayer? The answer to that question is simple. It’s not about whether or not God heard you. It’s about whether or not you prayed in believing you received it. Do you even know Him? Are you trying to get to know Him? Or are you just praying to a God you truly have no faith in? We can’t expect God to stop what He’s doing and just answer a prayer when we have little faith. Granted at times He does answer prayers instantly or in a timely manner just to show us His power but He does want us to believe, so if you have little or no faith you need to fix that and start trusting in Him and His abilities. We can’t just say, Oh God isn’t listening or God just don’t want to answer my prayer, stay patient and wait on His perfect timing! Have a wonderful, blessed day everyone, stay encouraged and always remember that God loves YOU! ❤️

Today’s verse comes from the great book of Matthew. According to the scripture Jesus was teaching his disciples when He spoke these words, “Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.” (Matthew 5:5 KJV) He clearly tells them only the meek, those who are humble, patient, gentle and kind, will be heir to the earth. This is just a piece of the teachings from Jesus. If you want to know more dig a little deeper by reading the whole book of Matthew, which teaches us not only did Jesus preach the living word of God, He healed the sick, casted out demons and feed the hungry. Can you imagine saying one word and BAM someone was healed, demons fled and food was plentiful for thousands? I can’t imagine. Awesome reading folks! If you’re thirsty for more, go read this chapter!
