He answered, "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" Luke 10:27

Do You Worship The Lord In Spirit and Truth?

Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men: (Isaiah 29:13 KJV)

In today’s shared verse I can’t help but to think about how people in society have come to the point that they speak praises to The Lord but yet do not really know Him. According to this scripture The Lord even says that people worship Him by what man believe or by the rules of worship according to man. God is love and love is all about the heart so, how can you truly worship The Lord without feeling love for Him in your heart and soul? You have to feel what you speak. You can’t just speak this or speak that when it comes to worshipping The Lord because it’s the routine or what is told that you should do. It’s about feeling. Praises means nothing if it’s about a show for man. I understand there’s a lot of people out there who don’t know The Lord. Not from a lack of trying to know the Lord but from the lack of being involved in a good Bible-based church, the lack of strong mature Christians in their lives and the inability to get away from self. See what people fail to realizes self can keep you from getting to know the Lord in truth and in spirit and a lack of mature Christians in your life makes it hard to know how to get away from self. I can’t quite understand why for some reason people believe that church is not important, which is wrong. I believe in order for you to grow and mature and truly know the Lord you have to have a good Bible teaching church to help you with your walk with the Lord. If you are uprooted with the word of the living God you can get through life and all the obstacles it brings in a spiritual fashion, not the traditional fashion of figuring it out on your own.

This message is not to judge people, to talk about people or to point fingers at people. It’s just I truly believe that society as a whole has taken the whole “we are free to do what what want when we want to” to the point that even changing and tweaking the idea of worship is okay. I’m sadden that in 2014 we are still living in a society where God is not first because people have no idea how to find him. A lot of things are misconstrued to make people feel that they are not worthy of God’s love, when in fact if we look at all of our lives none of us are worthy of his love but he loves us anyhow. I think a lot of the problem with people’s lack of worship is because the true meaning of worship is not conveyed correctly, also in churches people have made things a routine instead of a spiritual experience and last but not least the overall morale of human beings is to honor self and forget others.

One of my biggest prayers for 2014 is that we as a society get back to what church is about, remembering that it’s a home for the lost, a hospital for the sick, a place where we all should feel welcome, a place where we should all be able to fellowship and most importantly worship the Lord together as one. I hope you all have a wonderful blessed day, stay encouraged, know that God loves you and keep God first in your life! Be blessed brothers and sisters in Christ! 😘

Ask and Yea Shall Receive

20131203-054052.jpg

If we don’t ask God for anything how can we get mad about not receiving things we desire? In this morning’s scripture it clearly says, if you haven’t asked in Jesus’s name you should do so and when you do so you will receive it and be full of joy. Isn’t that wonderful? All we have to do is ask in the Father’s name and He will give us the desires of our hearts. Stop for a second though, before we decide to go on this rampage of going to our father in prayer to receive we need to stop and examine ourselves. Are we following Jesus? Is He Lord of our lives? We shouldn’t go to Him praying just for what we desire. We need to ask Him to come into our hearts that we may have a closer walk with thee and if we don’t walk with Him we need to ask Him to reveal Himself in our lives that we may have the desire to serve Him. We as human beings at times take a scripture of this content and use it to complain about what we don’t have. Well I prayed about this or that for months and I have yet to receive it. You think God didn’t hear my prayer? The answer to that question is simple. It’s not about whether or not God heard you. It’s about whether or not you prayed in believing you received it. Do you even know Him? Are you trying to get to know Him? Or are you just praying to a God you truly have no faith in? We can’t expect God to stop what He’s doing and just answer a prayer when we have little faith. Granted at times He does answer prayers instantly or in a timely manner just to show us His power but He does want us to believe, so if you have little or no faith you need to fix that and start trusting in Him and His abilities. We can’t just say, Oh God isn’t listening or God just don’t want to answer my prayer, stay patient and wait on His perfect timing! Have a wonderful, blessed day everyone, stay encouraged and always remember that God loves YOU! ❤️

Will you wait on The Lord?

20131201-084421.jpg

Today’s shared verse comes from the book of Psalms. When I read this scripture it made me think about how we as society don’t know how to wait or rather we don’t want to wait. We want what we want when we want it. I know that life is fast paced and we all stay so very busy but we can’t become so caught up in the world that we forget how to wait on The Lord. The quick fixes the world may give us can’t compare to the everlasting, meaningful fixes God will give us. We need to push pause at some point during the day and say, “Thank you Lord. I may not be where I want to be but I know you’re working it out. I’m not going to get ahead of you and your plan for my life. I will wait on you because what you have planned for my life is bigger and better than anything I can imagine. I will put all my hope in your word and my soul will wait on you.” If we all could have this attitude what a blessed life we ALL could have. I encourage you today to just wait on The Lord at all times, even when you see no change in your situation still wait. Time will not only heal you, it will subdue all your problems and make you stronger and wiser so don’t continue to delay give everything to The Lord to bear. He will make your life worth living! Be blessed, stay encouraged and remember God loves YOU!

Today’s Shared Verse

20131128-042803.jpg

Today’s verse comes from the great book of Matthew. According to the scripture Jesus was teaching his disciples when He spoke these words, “Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.” (Matthew 5:5 KJV) He clearly tells them only the meek, those who are humble, patient, gentle and kind, will be heir to the earth. This is just a piece of the teachings from Jesus. If you want to know more dig a little deeper by reading the whole book of Matthew, which teaches us not only did Jesus preach the living word of God, He healed the sick, casted out demons and feed the hungry. Can you imagine saying one word and BAM someone was healed, demons fled and food was plentiful for thousands? I can’t imagine. Awesome reading folks! If you’re thirsty for more, go read this chapter!
